When I'm not trying to be an artist I'm collecting records with over 3600 LP's to date. The soundtracks listed below are some of my fave's from my collection. Not in any particular order but the best will be near the top.
Sorry I can't post sound files but most are easily found. They will all give you a warm fuzzy feeling and stick to the inside of your skull like a favorite flavor of bubble gum.No matter what your music tastes are.
STAR TREK GENERATIONS....Dennis McCarthy (1995) Ethereal & heavenly enough to raise the dead.
SPYRO DAWN OF THE DRAGON...Rebecca Kneubuhl & Gabriel Mann (2009) Epic and one of the best video game soundtracks ever. Very relevant to the little purple dragon with a heart of gold.
TERMINATOR 2.......Brad Fiedel (1991) All Mankind's woes rolled into song.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND (Bonus Single)....John Williams (1977) Not the movie soundtrack which was kind of bland. This is the rare bonus 45 for radio that was included with the album.
DRAGONHEART....Randy Edelman (1996) Truth..Valor...Honor!
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (Main theme)....Stu Phillips (1978) Boldly we go forth into space.
AMERICA'S GREATEST HERO (Believe it or not)...Joey Scarbury (1984)
PURGATORY....Brad Fiedel (1999) Great western fantasy theme.
STAR WARS....John Williams (1977) The most heroic score there is.
SILENT RUNNING...Peter Schickele & Joan Baez (1971) Peace, Love and being Green 70's style.
SUPERMAN THE MOVIE...John Williams (1978) "Can You Read My Mind" by Maureen McGovern was quite popular at the time.
AIRWOLF (main theme)...Sylvester Levay (1984) Great flying music even if it was for a modified old Bell 222 utility helicopter.
STAR TREK (TV)...Alexander Courage & George Dunning (1966) Everyone knows the opening theme but the incidental music by George was some of the best ever too.
COCOON....James Horner (1985) Very Emotional soundtrack and one of J.H.'s best.
BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS...James Horner (1980) One of Horner's earliest and best efforts for a very weird movie. The hero's spaceship had TITS FCS!
THE ABYSS....Alan Silvestri (1989) Hauntingly beautiful score.
THE LAST UNICORN.....Jimmy Webb, America (1982) The main title theme by America is one of their best. It was also scored by Webb who wrote many of Glen Campbell's hits.
E.T. THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL....John Williams (1982) A very relevant soundtrack for the cutest alien ever.
QUANTUM LEAP.....Mike Post (1989) Such a happy tune.
SOLARIS....Cliff Martinez (2002) Ethereal and Atmospheric music for a movie about a living planet that just might be heaven. The 1976 version was the first Russian movie popular in the USA.
FUNNIEST ALIEN COMMERCIAL (Click link below) How Hollywood missed turning these two guys into a movie is beyond me!
